The Bar Harbor Whale Museum is Maine's only museum dedicated to the study and understanding of whales and seals common to the Gulf of Maine.

All donations, along with revenue from our gift shop and our Adopt a Whale program, support marine conservation, education, and research.

The Whale Museum is closed for the 2011 season due to property redevelopment in downtown Bar Harbor.
